About Nambour Yandina United Football Club

NYU football club prides itself on offering opportunities for all ages, genders and abilities to play football in a safe and supportive environment. We have teams that cater for 5 years of age through to Premier Men and Women. Nambour-Yandina United Football Club was formed in 1997; amalgamating two great earlier clubs the Nambour Reds (founded in 1974) and the Yandina Eagles (founded in 1976). Each Club brought with it their own areas of specialty, one a strong youth backgrounds and the other well established senior teams creating a perfect blend. The Club then affiliated with Sunshine Coast Football and Football Queensland. With over 250 players registered in most age groups and across a number of divisions it is a Club that is recognized across the Sunshine Coast for not only its strength, but also its passionate supporters. Both genders and all age groups are welcome no matter their level of skill. We have players aged from 5 to 70 who compete and train on a weekly basis. All of whom learn through experience what it is to be part of a team and the value that holds. For more than twenty years the Club has also hosted the Yandina Community Markets, visited by thousands each year, it is a valuable source of fund-raising and a huge boost each weekend to the local economy.
